The Natinal Lleyn Sheep Show was held at the Livestock Event at the NEC Birmingham on 6th & 7th July 2016
We gained 1st 3rd & 5th places with a Lleyn ewe with pure bred lambs
In the cross bred class sired by a Texel ram we gained 3rd & 4th places
National Lleyn Show
The National Show of Lleyn Sheep was held at The Livestock Event on 8th & 9th July 2015.
We exhibited a Lleyn ewe with a pair of Hampshire Down cross bred lambs. We gained 2nd place in the "Lleyn ewe with Crossbred Lambs class" and the special prize given by the Hampshire Down Sheep Association for the best Hampshire sire lambs.
Carlisle Sale 2014 Success
The Cragg Flock of Pedigree Lleyns had a very successful day at the Carlisle Lleyn Society Sale. A Shearling Lleyn Ram which took the Championship in the Lleyn Classes at Westmorland Show was sold for 6000gns to H & M Dugdale, Flock 1228. David commented “We knew we had a good ram being very correct both physically & Lleyn type, he was a bit of an out cross so that also attracted interest. We hope he goes on breeds well in the Borrins Flock”
Society Chairman
David Knowles, Lleyn Flock 1087 has been elected Chairman of The Lleyn Sheep Society at their AGM.“It’s a great honour to be elected as Chairman and I look forward to working and representing the Society at all levels” David added
David Judges Royal Welsh Show 2014
David Knowles had the great honour of been asked to judge the Royal Welsh Show 2014. There was a great line up of Lleyn Sheep put in front of me with the Championship awarded to Christine Lewis Shearling Lleyn Gimmer.It was a truly a day to remember.
